offbeat-rip-jaw-wireless-gaming-mouse
Runner-Up Pick
  • Wireless connectivity
  • Good quality optical sensor
  • Rechargeable Battery

The Ripjaw Wireless Gaming mouse is manufactured by a company called Offbeat, an engineering company that has a goal of moving the world toward wireless gadgets.

Offbeat has been active in the Indian market for a while now and their products are most sought after by entry-level users with budget constraints.

Build and Design

Even though Offbeat is not a company you might have heard about, they do make good quality products nevertheless.

The Ripjaw Gaming Mouse by Offbeat has got a really good build quality and design. It is by no means a fragile mouse and can handle minor rough abuses but we don’t recommend you intentionally testing that.

The body of the mouse is made of plastic and it has a matte finish to it.

In terms of design, this gaming mouse has plastic plates with a metallic finish on it which makes it look a bit more premium. The outer shell features an ergonomic design with grooves on it where your fingers can comfortably rest upon.

Unlike the other mice in the list, The Ripjaw is a wireless mouse and to find a good wireless gaming mouse under Rs.1000 is a surprise.

There are 6 buttons on the mouse and they are really good, they have a silent click and don’t make much noise.

The mouse has LED lighting but unfortunately, you cannot customize it according to your preferences.

Performance

The Ripjaw gaming mouse has a so-called dual gaming mode: this gaming mouse can be connected to the PC with the help of a 2.4GHz USB receiver or using a micro USB cable.

Other than that the performance or the Ripjaw is top-notch for the price. The laser sensor on the mouse has a resolution of up to 3200 DPI and an impressive polling rate of 1000Hz.

The buttons on the mouse are not programmable and hence there also is no software for achieving the same.

There is a DPI button that lets you cycle between the predetermined levels of DPI and there are only three different levels to switch the DPI.

However, there is no DPI level indicator on the mouse. Offbeat claims that the buttons are durable up to 5 million clicks, which is quite a lot.

Battery Life

The Ripjaw comes with a rechargeable battery and doesn’t use the normal replaceable AA batteries we usually find in gaming mice.

You can charge the battery of the mouse with a micro USB cable bundled in the package.

The mouse also has an auto-sleep mode in which it will go into if the mouse is left idle for too long, significantly saving battery life.

The battery backup on the mouse is good. you can expect to use the mouse for over a week on a single charge.

Verdict

What the Offset Ripjaw gaming mouse can do in such a budget is surprising.

If you are in search of a wireless mouse under Rs.1000 for gaming and want the best gaming performance then this might be the right choice for you.

  • Braided cable with magnetic ring

Amkette is one of the many computer peripherals and gaming hardware manufacturers based in India.

Build Quality and Design

First things first, the Amkette Evo Fox Phantom is a full-size gaming mouse. If you are someone looking for a small and compact form factor gaming mouse, we advise you to check out other products on this list.

The build quality of the mouse is pretty good for the price. This gaming mouse is made of plastic materials and has a matte finish texture on top for added grip.

The mouse is a bit on the heavier side weighing at 127g but still comfortable to use.

This budget wired gaming mouse has an ambidextrous design which makes it suitable for both right and left-handed gamers alike but it’s truly optimized for right-handed gamers because the side buttons are only available on the right side of the mouse.

The mouse has RGB lighting on it, which the company proudly calls as rainbow lighting. The RGB lighting on the mouse has a cool webbed design.

The lighting can be customized using the Evo Fox companion software available for download on the company website, free of cost.

This is a wired gaming mouse and the 1.5m long cable feels durable enough to withstand minor abuses without fail.

Performance

The Evo Fox Phantom gaming mouse will be a good fit for casual and competitive gaming alike.

The optical sensor on this budget gaming mouse has a resolution of up to 4800 DPI, with 60 IPS Tracking speed and a 125Hz polling rate. The polling rate is not that high but it should still be good enough for competitive gaming for beginners.

This budget gaming mouse has seven programmable buttons that can be customized to perform predetermined in-game functions using the dedicated Evo fox software.

The DPI of the mouse has four different levels that can be set using the companion software. Switching to the desired DPI level is as easy as clicking on the dual DPI buttons on the mouse.

The buttons on the mouse are tactile and offer good click response. These buttons are rated to last up to 5 million clicks.

Verdict

The Evo Fox Phantom is a great gaming mouse for those who have just started to take gaming seriously.

6. Redgear A20

redgear-a20
Feature-Rich Gaming Mouse
  • Up To 4800dpi settings
  • 7 programmable buttons
  • Customizable RGB lighting

Redgear is an Indian company specialized in marketing gaming accessories for smartphones, desktops and laptops.

The product line of the company ranges from gamepads to joysticks and has an impressive selection under affordable price points.

The Redgear A-20 is a wired gaming mouse that will enhance your gaming prowess with precise controls over your in-game actions.

Design and Build Quality

At the first look, the Redgear A-20 doesn’t seem to be any different from a regular wired computer mouse.

The design is minimal with no bells and whistles attached to it. The ergonomically curved chassis helps you grip the mouse in hand comfortably.

The contours have a lined texture which adds to the comfort of using this mouse for a longer duration.

This budget gaming mouse comes with a 1.8m long braided cable which feels very tough and durable.

Performance

The Redgear A-20 mouse comes with an option to set dpi on the fly. This gaming mouse can go up to 4800dpi which is quite rare for a mouse in this price range.

DPI (Dots Per Inch) is the measure of the sensitivity of a mouse. Higher the DPI, precise will be the cursor movements.

With gaming, higher dpi is always beneficial as the clicks are near-instantaneous with no lags and the precise cursor movements can help you win over your enemies in split seconds.

The Redgear A-20 has fully customizable RGB lighting effects which can be easily tuned with the help of the included Redgear app available on the CD.

The Xmate Rio is an entry-level gaming mouse loaded with features for a budget just under Rs.500.

Design and Build Quality

The contours on the chassis of this gaming mouse are thoughtfully designed for the better handgrip.

Performance

8. Cosmic Byte Hydra RGB Gaming Mouse

cosmic-byte-hydra-rgb-gaming-mouse
Lightweight Gaming Mouse
  • Anti-slip/anti-sweat texture coating
  • Best for casual gaming sessions
  • Comfortable ergonomic design

The Hydra wired mouse is yet another budget gaming mouse from Cosmic Byte, an Indian company specializing in marketing low cost, affordable gaming peripherals.

Priced under just Rs.1,000 this wired gaming mouse looks and feels almost like a regular mouse but features some gaming-centric tricks up its sleeve.

Build Quslity and Design

As expected from a budget gaming mouse, the body of the Hydra is made from plastic materials, which is of average quality, to say the least.

Cosmic Byte claims that the surface of the mouse is coated with a special anti-slip and anti-sweat texture for enhanced grip.

The otherwise matte finish texture feels nothing extraordinary. The ergonomic design of this gaming mouse makes it comfortable for both palm and claw grip hand positions.

Since this gaming mouse features a minimal and clean design, it can be used anywhere – in colleges, offices without any issues.

The RGB lighting effects on this gaming mouse can be customized with the help of dedicated software. You can increase the lightspeed, increase or decrease the brightness of the light, or change the LED mode. However, there is no option to change the colour of the illumination though.

Weighing just 96g, the Cosmic Byte Hydra feels very lightweight and easy to carry around.

The nylon braided 1.5m long cable is of decent quality and features a magnetic ring for better signal transmission.

Performance

The optical sensor used on this gaming mouse is the Sunplus IT 6651 gaming-grade sensor. It’s not the best in terms of performance, but it gets the job done for the asking price.

The cursor tracking isn’t as accurate as of the PixArt sensors that we have discussed in this article but then again this should be a good sensor for casual gaming but not the best for competitive games.

The optical sensor inside this mouse has a maximum resolution of up to 6400 DPI and a polling rate of 1000Hz. The mouse has six DPI levels that can be set using the dedicated software. The companion software also allows you to set LED lights to indicate which DPI level you are on.

There are eight buttons on the mouse that can be custom programmed to be assigned for specific functions and macros.

The DPI button and the LED button of the mouse are at the bottom, so you won’t be able to change DPI on the fly and can cost you dearly while playing competitive games like PUBG and CS GO where you would need to change the DPI constantly for the best possible gaming experience.

The buttons on the mouse are Huano micro switches with decent quality and have a click life cycle of 10 million clicks.

Verdict

The Cosmic Byte Hydra is more of a hybrid gaming mouse suited for everyday usage as well as occasional gaming.

If you are a casual gamer, this mouse will satisfy your requirements for the asking price of just Rs.989, but if you are looking for a gaming mouse to handle competitive programming, we’d suggest you look for the other products in this list.

9. Ant Esports GM200W

ant-esports-gm200w
Cheapest Gaming Mouse
  • Best for casual gaming
  • Decent quality optical sensor
  • Compatible with Windows and Mac

Ant Esports is an Indian gaming peripherals company. They were formed in 2016 and had started as a company that manufactured gaming chairs in the Indian market.

They have now expanded the company and are also in the gaming peripherals market with their affordable gaming mice.

The Ant Esports GM200W is a budget gaming mouse priced under Rs.500 offering a decent gaming experience for beginner gamers.

Design and Build Quality

In terms of build quality, the Ant Esports is a gaming mouse that is inexpensive and provides decent build quality for the asking price.

This budget entry-level gaming mouse has a plastic body construction with a rubberized coating on top for the added grip. The scroll wheel of the mouse also has a nice rubberized texture to it.

The protruding thumb rests and the ergonomic grooves for resting the fingers makes the mouse comfortable for everyday usage as well.

This affordable gaming mouse is best suited for claw and palm grip hand positions.

The Ant GM200W features multicoloured LEDs that change its colour according to the DPI levels. There are three LED zones in the mouse but don’t feature the ability to customize the lights as per your personal preference.

The 1.5m braided wire is durable and long enough to have convenient gaming experience.

Performance

You can’t expect stunning performance from a gaming mouse that costs less than half of most mid-range gaming mouses out there. It doesn’t mean that the Ant Esports GM200W bad performing mouse at all.

This gaming mouse will work well with most of the games out there but it’s not suitable for fast-paced games which involve a lot of gunfighting.

The mouse sensor has a resolution of up to 3200 DPI with a polling rate of 125Hz. Yes! The polling rate is quite less for a gaming mouse but it still does perform fairly decently.

You should be able to enjoy games like Fall Guys and GTA without any problem but don’t expect stellar performance from games such as COD, PUBG or Fortnite.

The GM200W has seven programmable buttons that can be assigned to various game functions using third-party software. Ant Esports doesn’t have their gaming software for their mouse which is quite unfortunate.

Even though the mouse costs less, the buttons on the mouse don’t feel cheap in any way. The buttons are very tactile and responsive and you also have the dual DPI buttons to cycle through the four preset DPI levels.

The left and right mouse buttons have a lifespan of 5 million clicks and the scroll wheel has been rated to last for at least 3 million clicks.

Verdict

The Ant Esports GM200W is a budget gaming mouse for those who are new into PC gaming and are not that fond of competitive games. The mouse should work well for those who are more into casual gaming.

Honourable Mention
  • Plug n Play device
  • Best for casual gaming
  • One-touch DPI switcher

Dragonwar is a Chinese company based in Hong Kong. They specialize primarily in manufacturing computer peripherals and have a wide range of products like gaming mouse, keyboard, controllers, etc.

The Dragonwar Leviathan ELE-G1 is their budget wired gaming mouse priced just shy of Rs.600 in the Indian market.

Build Quality and Design

For just Rs.599 you will be surprised with what Dragonwar ELE-G1 has to offer.

To make things clear Leviathan is not a high-end gaming mouse and neither is Dragonwar a well-known company so you can’t expect a lot from the mouse, but that doesn’t mean it’s just an ordinary mouse with gaming slapped on its back.

The plastic body of the mouse doesn’t feel cheap. The design of the mouse is in such a way that it looks like an advanced gaming mouse even though it costs less than most gaming mice out there.

The side buttons of the mouse are placed on a glossy plastic surface which is not a good idea considering the reduced hand grip.

The sufficiently long 1.8m cable is braided to ensure durability even with rough usage.

The mouse has RGB lighting that changes colours on its own and you don’t have the option to customize the lighting according to your preference, no matter what.

Performance

Dragonwar uses a blue laser sensor – a laser sensor that is supposed to work on all surfaces but the Leviathan doesn’t work on certain surfaces so you should most probably invest on a mat as well.

If you’re into FPS gaming a lot, we’d suggest you look for another mouse with a more accurate optical sensor.

The optical sensor on this gaming mouse has a native DPI of 800 and it can go all the way up to 3200. The mouse has four preset levels of DPI which can be selected using the DPI button on the mouse.

The special LED lighting indicates the currently set DPI level in a glance.

The ELE-G1 gaming mouse features six programmable buttons which can be customized with the help of a third-party companion software such as the X-mouse.

Verdict

The Dragonwar Leviathan ELE-G1 is a modern-looking gaming mouse with decent performance for its asking price.

This wired gaming mouse is best suited for entry-level gamers who want to have a taste of high accuracy gaming that the one to which they are used to until now.
