This TV can either be placed on a tabletop with the help of supplied stands or you can pay Rs.400 extra for a wall mounting bracket.

The remote of this television is very lightweight and compact with the most necessary buttons added for one-touch access to premium OTT services.

Best 4K Smart LED TV

  • HDR-enabled 4K UHD display
  • Pure Android OS TV
  • Rich connectivity options

Pros

Premium design

Deeper AI Integration

Built-in Google assistant

Cons

Only one USB port

TCL is a Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer that started selling data storage products across the world.

The company later diversified its product lineup and became a major player in the LED TV market. TCL now markets budget LED TVs under the iFFALCON brand name in India.

The iFFALCON 43K71 by TCL is a 43-inch 4K HDR Smart LED television that comes at a fraction of the price that its competitors offer for their similarly specced products.

Build Quality and Design

The iFFALCON 43K71 follows a minimalistic design approach on this product. Nothing seems out of place and too much eye-catchy.

The bezels, though not minimal, don’t seem like too much mainly because of the larger size display compensating it.

The entire construction is of plastic which doesn’t feel premium but does just right for its price.

Connectivity Features

The iFFALCON 43K71 TV has the following I/O ports:

  • 2 x HDMI ports
  • 1 x USB port
  • 1 x RJ45 LAN port
  • 1 x headphone out
  • 1 x RF antenna port

Display

iFFALCON has done the right thing by choosing an A+ grade high-quality 4K Ultra HD HDR display that outperforms even some of the established brands in the market in terms of its visual quality.

A+ grade achromatic panels don’t have the signature colour tints which manufacturers tend to apply during production, resulting in much better colour accuracy.

This 43-inch 3840×2160 pixel display features TCL’s signature LED backlight technology that enhances the colour gamut and contrast ratio to provide you with a better picture.

With the Dynamic Noise Reduction (DNR) technology built-in, this LED TV reduces signal interference with other electronic equipment in the vicinity and delivers detailed images and videos.

Overall, the iFFALCON 43K71 packs a bright and vivid 4K UHD panel that is worth every penny you spend on this product.

Sound

Budget LED TVs usually neglect the sound department altogether. This may be due to the fear of overshooting the expected marketing price.

With the iFFALCON 43K71, the two-channel speakers on this television offer a surround sound experience which will make your viewing experience a bit immersive but for a full-blown experience, we suggest you invest in a good home theatre/Bluetooth speaker.

Miscellaneous

This Android smart TV has its own set of preinstalled apps such as Netflix and Youtube and comes with the default Google Play Store for more apps.

This 4K smart TV television from iFFALCON 43K71 comes with a generous supply of output ports – 2 HDMI and a single USB port for connecting other devices and peripherals.

The iFFALCON 43K71 comes with an auto volume leveller feature. This will automatically adjust sudden volume fluctuations without blowing your ears off violently.

With the USB port supporting a wide variety of multimedia formats, you can view movies and photos of different formats without converting.

Verdict

The iFFALCON 47K31 is one of the best 4K LED TVs under Rs.30,000 that delivers excellent picture quality with finer details, sporting a 4K panel.

The display can be viewed without any colour shift up to 178 degrees.

If you are poised to buy a 4K LED TV under Rs. 30,000 which has a screen size of 43-inch or more, the HiSense 43A71F would be one of the best bets.

Panasonic is a Japanese electronics manufacturing company based in Osaka, Japan serving all around the Globe.

Panasonic has been in the Indian market with their TVs and Audio Cassette players but lost the market foothold later to the new players.

However, the company is now back with new product lineups and the Panasonic TH-40HS450DX is one of the entry-level smart LED TVs under Rs.30,000 in India.

Design and Build Quality

The plastic build of the Panasonic TH-40HS450DX doesn’t feel cheap by any means. Panasonic has used good quality components for the construction of this television and it reflects in the overall fit and finish.

The bezels around the display are very narrow, arguably the thinnest among the LED TVs in the sub. Rs.20,000 price range.

The I/O ports are located ideally facing sideways for easy and effortless connectivity when placed on a table or mounted on the wall.

The remote control of this television is too long to our liking and has a lot of buttons which seems confusing to be honest.

Connectivity Features

The Panasonic TH-40HS450DX features the following connectivity options:

  • 2 x HDMI ports
  • 2 x USB ports
  • 1 x composite port
  • 1 x antenna port

The proprietary Vivid Digital Pro feature in this television digitally sharpens the visuals, adjusts the colour tones and brightness levels dynamically to deliver an eye-pleasing media consumption experience.

This 60Hz panel also supports adaptive dimming which dims the specific portion of the display depending on the visuals, thereby resulting in better dynamic range coverage.

The blacks appear as very black, compensating the other colours to make them look vivid and punchy,

Thanks to the razor-thin bezels around the display, the visuals on the Panasonic TH-40HS450DX seamlessly blends in with the surroundings just like that of premium TVs.

Miscellaneous

This is an Android-powered smart TV that comes with all the bells and whistles from Google such as the play store support.

This interface runs on a quad-core processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage and the operation is smooth for the most part, but expect to see slight stutters when dealing with certain apps.

Thanks to the built-in chromecast feature, you can mirror devices on to this big-screen effortlessly.

Cons

Rear-mounted AV ports

Kodak has been releasing low-cost LED TVs that offer 4K panels at a very competitive price in the Indian market.

The 43UHDX7XPRO from Kodak is a step ahead of their previous products with the smart connectivity features that come with this LED TV.

Design and Build Quality

Most of the budget LED TVs now selling in the market do feature more or less the same design.

This is because the companies, instead of doing their R&D, rely on third-party OEM designs for their products.

This helps them save a lot of money in the manufacturing process.

The Kodak 43UHDX7XPRO has a relatively slim profile and has narrow bezels at the sides of the display.

All the ports are present in the backside. This might pose an issue to reach the connections when the device is wall mounted.

The plastics used in the build are of average quality and don’t feel cheap either.

Connectivity Features

The Kodak 43UHDX7XPRO has the following I/O ports:

  • 3 x HDMI ports
  • 2 x USB ports
  • 1 x RF antenna port
  • 1 x Optical out port
  • 1 x RJ45 LAN port
  • 1 x Headphone-out port
  • 2 x AV ports

Display

The Kodak 43UHDX7XPRO smart LED TV features a 43-inch LED display with a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels.

The 178-degree viewing angle makes this display ideal for a medium-sized room for an average family.

This LED TV has an impressive peak brightness level of 500nits and excellent contrast levels.

The deep blacks in the visuals make the TV watching experience a lot better.

This is an HDR10 supported panel with good dynamic range and colour accuracy.

Smart TV features

The Kodak 43UHDX7XPRO runs on stock Android TV OS powered by an ARM Cortex quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.

There is the regular Google Play store for directly downloading third-party Android apps instead of wanting to sideload them from a USB stick.

This TV comes with six sound modes that you can select according to the content you are watching.

This year OnePlus has launched a few affordable smart televisions in the Indian market priced well below Rs.30,000 to rival the offerings from companies such as Xiaomi and Realme.

Design and Build Quality

The design looks very modern, with minimal bezels around the display and a premium piano finish on the exterior.

The included remote is very minimal and has one-click shortcut buttons for accessing Netflix, Prime Video and Youtube.

  • 1 Optical port (audio)

Minimal bezels are one of the most prominent features of this panel from OnePlus.

This minimal bezel display offers an immersive visual consumption experience that is quite unmatched in this segment.

Smart Features

  • 43-inch FHD ADS panel
  • Decent 24W stereo speakers
  • Linux based Vidaa OS
BUY FROM FLIPKART

Pros

Rich connectivity options

Durable and sturdy metal stand

Screen mirroring

Cons

Limited app selection

Toshiba is a Japanese multinational company with a presence over a diverse range of fields from power generation equipment to home appliances.

The Toshiba 43L5050 is an entry-level smart LED TV powered by a third-party Linux based Vidaa OS.

Design and Build Quality

The design of the Toshiba 43L5050 is just like any other entry-level LED TV out there. The plastic shell chassis with I/O ports in the rear is nothing much to talk about.

The quality of the materials used in the construction feels durable for the asking price.

The rear protruding section housing the circuitry felt a bit bulkier than some other models. Keep this in mind if you are planning to place this in a tight space such as a populated tabletop.

This television comes bundled with two metal stands in the box, which feels very solid and helps to keep the TV firm and sturdy on flat surfaces.

There are provisions to mount this TV on the wall if that’s what you prefer.

Connectivity Features

The Toshiba 43L5050 has the following I/O ports:

  • 2 x HDMI ports
  • 2 x USB ports
  • 1 x AV input
  • 1 x headphone-out port
  • 1 x RJ45 LAN port
  • 1 x Optical audio out port
  • 1 x RF antenna port

Display

The Toshiba 43L5050 features a 43-inch Full HD panel with a standard resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

This is an ADS (Advanced Plane to Line Switching) panel with decent viewing angles and colour reproduction.

The proprietary CEVO engine premium technology leverages the processor inside to enhance the overall sharpness, dynamic range and brightness of the panel for stunning lifelike visuals.

This entry-level LED TV has dynamic contrast switching that changes depending on the visual for a natural cinematic viewing experience.

The active motion resolution+ feature reduces the jitters in between the frames and makes the visuals appear smooth. This is very helpful when viewing fast-paced actions such as sports.

Miscellaneous

As we mentioned earlier, this smart TV runs on a third party Vidaa OS. Because of this, it doesn’t support Google software suite such as the Play store or play games.

However, this television comes pre-installed with popular streaming apps such as NetFlix, YouTube, Prime Video etc.

The app catalogue will be limited on this TV, which should be a problem if you are a heavy user.

Audio

The Toshiba 43L5050 has two speakers on board with a combined sound power output of 24W.

While this is good enough for use in small rooms, it is better to buy an external speaker to have an immersive media consumption experience.

    • Hi Raj.

Blaupunkt being a German company doesn’t actually mean the company sources it’s components from Germany. Almost all mass production electronics appliances companies source their components from China and assemble it in factories either in China or countries like Vietnam and India. That answers the first part of your question.

About the pros, as you mentioned, this TV comes with an A+ panel with improved color accuracy. It does have all the smart connectivity features such as Wi-Fi for wirelessly hooking this TV to the internet. One main thing to note here is that, this TV runs on an Android based OS. Although you can have popular apps such a s Netflix, Hot star etc, there won’t be a Google play store. It is replaced with a third party Aptoide store. If you’re OK with that, the Blaupunkt TV is well worth the money.

  3. I was actually buying it to play games on ps4 and some occasional streaming so i thought that 55 inches would be better also it consumes only 105 watts even when it is a 55′ inch tv, so is it better or the motorola tv. BTW thank you for actually replying to my question.

    • Hi,

The size of the television is purely a subjective point. It depends up on the size of the room, the purpose of your purchase etc. Having a bigger display doesn’t always mean better gaming performance. The power consumption of most of the modern televisions, irrespective of their display sizes are minimal so you don’t have to worry about that.

    • Hi Dev, glad you asked the question. The Blaupunkt TV is indeed an Android-based TV and is not running the stock Android TV OS. Blaupunkt uses a custom OS skin named hybrid launcher is a bit less polished at the moment. The Motorola TV, on the other hand, runs the stock Android TV OS and has a very much clean and polished UI. Feature-wise, both these TV’s offers its own set of advantages. If you ask us to take a pick, we will opt for the Motorola as it comes with support for the Google software suite out of the box.
