  • Decent voice call quality
  • Active Noise Cancellation
  • Up to 3.5 hours of battery life

Lightweight and comfortable

Flawless in-ear detection

Customizable via HeyMelody Android app

Glossy charging case

The Enco series wireless earphones from Oppo has been receiving very positive feedback from the Indian customers from the past few months of its introduction.

The Enco W51 is a major update to the popular Enco W31 TWS earbud, this time with improved battery life and ANC (Active Noise Cancellation Feature) for just under Rs.5,000.

Design and Build Quality

The Oppo Enco W51 earbuds look the same as that of the Enco W31. The lightweight, comfortable in-ear design of the W31 was one of our top choices in its price segment and we are happy to see that Oppo has retained it on the W51 as well.

The charging case, however, is a different story. The rounded pebble-shaped design of the Enco W31 charging case has changed to a rounded square shape.

The glossy finish of the Enco W51 charging case is a fingerprint magnet and we prefer the matte finish W31 charging more than this.

The Oppo Enco W51 comes certified with IP54 dust and water resistance to withstand sweat, water splashes and dust particles.

Speakers and Sound Quality

The Oppo Enco W51 delivers a pleasant audio quality with wider stage separation and decent bass response.

The vocals are crisp and clear whereas the treble notes remain audible without the bass notes overpowering.

These earbuds get sufficiently loud without any noticeable distortion whatsoever.

Active Noise Cancellation

The Oppo Enco W51 comes loaded with ANC features which will filter out ambient noises around to deliver a clean music listening experience.

The ANC on this TWS earbud works adequately okay for the asking price and the difference is pretty noticeable.

While it is not as perfect as the premium TWS earbuds such as the Apple Airpods Pro, for a budget of Rs.5,000 it’s good that Oppo delivers a working ANC solution.

The wear detection feature works flawlessly and pauses the music/video playback as soon as you remove one of the earbuds away from the ears.

Another advantage of this TWS earbud is the integration with the Oneplus HeyMelody app via which you can update firmware and customize the tap gestures.

Battery Life

The Oppo Enco W51 earbuds come with a 25mAh battery inside which will last you around 3-3.5 hours on a single full charge.

Oppo claims that if you turn off the ANC, you will get half an hour more. The charging case takes about 80 minutes to completely charge from zero to hundred per cent.

The rounded pebble-shaped charging case has a single LED battery indicator upfront. The Type-C charging port can be found in the bottom section of this charging case.

Inside the charging case rests the two stem design TWS earbuds. These earbuds have a much smaller stem when compared with other earbuds with a similar stem design.

The angled earpiece stem fits well inside the ear canal to deliver a secure, firm and noise-cancelling fit.

Speakers and Sound Quality

The 10mm neodymium drivers inside these budget TWS earbuds are tuned to emphasize bass notes.

The bass appears rich and natural while the vocals sound clean and crisp along with the tingling treble notes.

At times the bass notes overpower the vocals but it is to be expected from a TWS earbud in this price bracket.

  1. Seriously Bose sound sport you gave no3. The only good thing about this headphone is the cushioning on your ears and a ok sound quality. ITs horrible when it comes to calling and pairing the device. I have been using this for more than a year. Not at all worth the money that you pay.

    • Hi Rahul!

Sorry to hear about your unfruitful experience with the product. Recent firmware updates fixes most of the random connection issues people have been facing in the past.

  2. Hi BetterShark
I wanna buy tws earbuds which is good in between realme buds q vs realme buds air neo
Tell me the pros and cons of both tws plz.

    • Hi Ajith!

In terms of pure sound quality, we feel that the Realme Buds Air Neo (Link – better than the Realme Buds Q (LInk – . However, the Realme Buds Q has a comfortable in-ear design whereas the Realme Buds Air Neo has a semi in-ear design which may seem loose fit someone with small ears. In terms of battery life, both these TWS earbuds will last for roughly 3 hours on a single charge. To summarize, the Realme Buds Q is an affordable alternative to the Realme Buds Air Neo and with a much better wearing comfort than the latter.

  3. sound core life note and sound core life p2 which one to buy

i want noise cancellation because i am on bike full day so while driving have to pic calls so in tws there is major problem in calling while driving bike

so can yo suggest one in i mention or another which has great bettry life more then 5 hrs in single charge and active noise cancellation

    please healp

    • Hi Saurabh!

Both the Sound core Life Note and the the Sound core Life P2 features aptX codec support and comes with dual mics on each earbud for crystal clear voice calls. One other suggestion from our side is the Samsung galaxy Buds+. This earbud has a three mic system for clean hands free voice calls and lasts about 11 hours on a single charge. If you are looking for an earphone to use while riding a bike, we’d suggest you to go for a neckband styled earphone to be on the safer side. TWS earbuds can sometimes fall down with bumps and because of the helmet but the neckband wireless earphone will stay in place even if the earpiece comes out.We suggest you to take a look at the Sony WI XB400 in that regard which is priced at just Rs.3,249. If you want more choice, be sure to check out our Best wireless earphones section for more information,

    • Hi Rohit!

Your question is totally valid. Products to be included in a specific list are chosen upon evaluating different metrics, ranging from their price, usability, sound quality and so on. Because we added the Redmi Earbuds S as a honorable mention in the best TWS earbuds article doesn’t necessarily mean it is any better than the Realme Buds Q.

The top picks under each budget are confined to that particular segment. While preparing the best list irrespective of the budget, we always try to have a fair representation of all popular brands out there, and what’s included as a honorable mention is the one product that we suggest you may try considering, if none of the other products in the list appeals to you. It has nothing to do with being the best out there when compared with other products in its similar price range.

    • Hi Pankaj!

Thanks for your suggestion. We’ll soon review the product and if found good enough, will definitely update the article as soon as possible.

      • Hi Ashok!

For a budget under Rs.4000, We suggest you to choose between the Oppo Enco W31 and the Mi TWS 2 earbud. The Oppo Enco M31 is an in-ear style TWS earbud with a tonally balanced sound output with a dedicated bass mode and decent call quality. The Mi TWS 2 has a semi in-ear style design similar to that of the second generation Apple airpods. This TWS earbud from Xiaomi supports LDAC codec for superior bass heavy sound output. If you ask you for an opinion between these two, we’ll go for the Oppo Enco W31 owing to its tonally balanced sound output and the comfortable in-ear style design.

      • Hi BetterShark

Im planning to buy TWS earbuds, but i don’t know which is good for the value of money under 2000
Can u tell me which is good Realme buds q or Boult audio freepods
Plz can u review or tell pros and cons of Boult audio freepods

      • Hi Ajith!

Both the Realme Buds Q (Link – and the Boult Audio Freepods (Link – are two of the best TWS earbuds that you can get your hands on under a budget of Rs.2,000. The Boult Audio freepods unlike the Realme Buds Q has a stem design and looks a bit more premium to be honest. If you plan to use the earbuds a lot outdoors, the IPX5 certified Freepods will be a slightly better choice than the IPX4 rated Realme Buds Q. In terms of sound quality, we personally feel that the Realme Buds Q offers better fidelity while the sound signature from Freepods has an overall muddy bass.

Addtionally, the Realme Link app can be downloaded on any Android smartphone that can be used to customize the settings which is not available in the case of Boult Audio Freepods. You can also consider the Redmi Earbuds 2C (Link – which is yet another affordable TWS earbud in the sub. Rs.2,000 price point.
