3. Tribit QuietPlus

Tribit QuietPlus

Feature-rich Headphone

  • Active noise cancellation feature
  • Well balanced sound output
  • Exceptional battery life
BUY FROM AMAZON

Pros

Foldable, ergonomic design

Fast charging support

Wired/wireless mode usage

Cons

Need to manually turn off the ANC

Tribit Audio Limited is a Chinese audio equipment manufacturing company that has taken the market by storm with its highly affordable feature-rich products including Bluetooth speakers and headphones.

The Quiet Plus from Tribit is a budget ANC enabled wireless headphone packed with features to the brim, retailing in the Indian market for just Rs.5,399.

Build Quality

First things first, the Tribit QuietPlus is completely made from plastic materials except for the metallic slider band.

This wireless over the ear Bluetooth headphone has a foldable design and comes inside a compact hard carrying case.

The ample cushions on the earpiece ensure a fatigue-free listening experience and the cushions on the headband make sure the fit is tight and secure over the head.

The playback controls are done by physical buttons that include dedicated volume rockers and an ANC on/off button.

The quality of plastics used for the construction is decent and the headphone is very flexible as well. There are squeaks here and there when you twist and bend the headphone, but that is to be expected from a headphone at this price point.

Sound Quality

The Tribit QuietPlus comes with standard 40mm speaker drivers. The audio output from these speakers is as expected top-notch with natural low-end bass, crisp vocals and clean high-end treble notes.

The sound output remains clean up to 85% of the volume after which there is a slight distortion. However, this headphone is loud enough at 85% so maxing the sound output further makes no sense.

Thanks to the latest Bluetooth v5.0 and improved AptX codec support, the wireless sound streaming quality feels almost similar to that with a wired headphone and has no noticeable audio-visual latency whatsoever.

Miscellaneous

This budget Bluetooth headphone from Tribit comes with ANC (Active Noise Cancellation). By turning it on manually, most of the low pitch ambient noises in the background get attenuated to provide a serene and calm music listening experience.

Make sure you turn off the ANC manually as it remains turned on even if you turn off the headphone, thereby draining the battery unnecessarily.

The audio calls via the inbuilt microphone on this headphone sounds decent and without any major distractions.

Battery Life

The Tribit Quiet Plus is powered by a 500mAh rechargeable battery that is rated to last up to 30 hours on a single charge.

If you use ANC too much, expect this number to come down significantly. However, this headphone features a USB Type-C charging port with support for fast charging. With just 10 minutes of charge, you can continue listening to the music for up to 4 hours.

Verdict

The Tribit QuietPlus is a feature-packed wireless headphone that offers some of the premium features such as ANC at a very affordable price point.

BUY FROM FLIPKART

Pros

Ergonomic foldable design

Multiple device pairing

Handsfree calling

Cons

No smartphone app support

JBL is synonymous with excellent sound output. Being a world-class leader in portable Bluetooth speakers, the company also has its fair share of best in class business headphone offerings.

The JBL Tune 750BTNC is a simple and elegant premium budget over the ear headphones that comes with ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) on board.

Build Quality

The fit and finish of the JBL Tune 750BTNC exudes confidence and feels very durable in hand. The stylish fabric used in this over the ear headphone compliments the sleek design very well.

The headband adjustment controls are very easy and feature multiple steps. You can precisely adjust the length according to your head and maintain a tight-fitting yet comfortable posture.

The ear cups have soft leather paddings which feel very comfortable even while listening to music for hours with this headphone.

Sound Quality

The JBL Tune 750BTNC offers one of the best sounding speaker drivers around the Rs.10,000 price range. The bass levels on this headphone will satisfy the basshead in you comfortably.

The 40mm driver speakers output deep bass and tangling highs with crisp and clean vocals.

JBL signature sound certification needs no serious introduction to a hardcore audiophile.

The audio output from the speakers is detailed with sound from each instrument feeling distinct and audible. The vocals sound crisp and neither the bass nor the treble overshadows it in any way.

Active Noise Cancellation

The ANC feature on the JBL Tune 750BTNC keeps unwanted background noises at bay, providing you with a calm and serene music listening environment.

However, ANC drains a lot of juice in the process, thereby significantly decreasing the battery life.

Miscellaneous

The JBL Tune 750BTNC comes with a detachable cable in the box. This 3.5mm cable can be made use of when the battery is depleted and you still want to continue listening to your favourite music.

This braided wire is of very high quality and feels rock solid. It can even withstand abuses and function properly afterwards.

The controls are located on the right earcup of these headphones and are very much comfortable to operate with. The buttons are tactile and responsive.

Battery Life

Yes, the JBL Tune 750BTNC feels small and compact when compared with other competitors on this list. But battery life isn’t.

The Li-ion cell inside the device lasts for about 22 hours on a single charge. With the ANC turned on, expect this number to be somewhere around 15 hours.

With less than two and half hours to fully charge from 0 to 100%, we felt that this number is quite reasonable.

Verdict

The JBL Tune 750BTNCT is a strong performer with a large sound stage and incredible quality audio output
If you’re looking for a lightweight and compact alternative to the pricier premium headphones, this one might be the best bet for you.

Cons

No AUX input for wired operation

When it comes to the audio quality of its products, Sennheiser makes no mistakes.

The Sennheiser 350BT is an over the ear wireless Bluetooth headphone that comes with a bass-heavy sound signature and Qualcomm aptX codec support.

Build Quality

The design of the Sennheiser 350BTis centred around minimalism. There’s no sign of aggressive design aspects anywhere to be seen on this device.

The entire construction of this headphone is plastic. There’s not even a metal insert in between. However, it has to be noted that the plastics used are of very high quality.

The matte black finish plastic inserts add a premium look to the headphone which blends in well with the minimalistic design.

The headband is thin with not much cushioning around. The earcups are comfy with smooth and soft paddings which feel very soft and fit over the ears.

The foldable ear cups make these wireless headphones easy to be carried around.

Sound Quality

The Sennheiser 350BT uses proprietary 40mm drivers that are tuned by the company to meet the requirements of this particular model.

The Sennheiser signature profile renders a very well balanced bass-rich sound output from these speakers.

Accurate and clean audio is what we can describe as the audio output from these headphones in general. The rich bass never overpowers the mids and highs which makes the vocals crisp and clear.

This is an aptX codec supported wireless headphone.

aptX is an audio streaming codec from Qualcomm that delivers exceptional sound quality with wireless audio transfer with compatible Bluetooth devices.

Miscellaneous

This premium wireless headphone comes with app support with which you can tune the audio according to your liking.

Powered by the Bluetooth 5.0 technology, the signal quality and reception is excellent. The Bluetooth radio inside provides a reception radius of well over 30 feet.

Even with obstructions like walls and ceiling in between, the connection never dropped and the sound quality remained intact.

Battery Life

Battery life from a wireless headphone is one of the most important factors in its usability. The Sennheiser 350BT delivers a stellar 30 hours of battery life on a single charge.

This Bluetooth headphone from Sennheiser supports fast charging and has a USB type C port for the same.

Verdict

The Sennheiser 350BT is a very capable performer for those people who require a balanced sound profile rather than overpowering bass.

This product delivers clean audio output without any compromise of notes, be it the lows, highs or the mids.

With the aptX codec support and impressive battery life, the Sennheiser 350BT is a compelling choice for a budget of around Rs.10,000.

6. Tribit XFree Go

Tribit XFree Go

All-round Performer

  • Soothing sound output
  • Good stage separation
  • Long-lasting battery life
BUY FROM AMAZON

Pros

Memory foam cushioning

Bundled hard carry case

3.5mm aux input port

Cons

Outdated micro USB charging port

Tribit is a Chinese company that is popular both in India and abroad for its affordable headphones and Bluetooth speakers with excellent sound output.

The XFree Go from Tribit is an affordable over the ear wireless headphone priced well under Rs.3,000 available for purchase currently in the Indian market.

Design and Build Quality

The entire construction of the Tribit XFree Go headphone is using high-quality polycarbonate plastics.

One of the main differences between the XFree Go and its expensive sibling the XFree Tune is that the former is lightweight and compact, and has a nicer memory foam cushion.

The XFree Go Bluetooth headphone has a foldable design, making it easy to carry anywhere you go. The company also provides a hard carry case with this headphone, which is usually a rarity for budget headphones to come with.

As we mentioned earlier, the memory foam cushion around the earpiece as well as on top of the headband is very plush. It is a delight to wear this headphone around the head even for long hours at a stretch.

The media control buttons including the volume rockers are located on the earpiece itself. There is a 3.5mm aux input port on this headphone to have wired connectivity when you run out of juice.

Speakers and Sound Quality

The Tribit XFree Go features a 40mm speaker driver that is tuned to emphasize bass notes.

The bass feels very rich and deep without any artificiality whatsoever. The vocals and treble note beautifully blend with the bass notes to deliver a soothing sound output.

The XFree Go is perhaps the best wireless Bluetooth headphone priced under Rs.3,000 for exceptional stage separation between the musical notes.

Be it EDMs, hip hop or vocals, this headphone nails it in terms of the audio quality.

Miscellaneous

The Tribit XFree Go comes integrated with a microphone onboard for hands-free voice calls. This mic works decently well while indoors but expect some minor distortions during the call if used outdoors.

This wireless Bluetooth headphone from Tribit supports both Siri and Google voice assistant. You can just speak or command these assistants to get things done.

Battery Life

The Tribit XFree Go packs in a relatively large-sized battery inside which is rated to last up to 24 hours on a single charge. But depending on the volume and the type of music played, expect anywhere between 16-20 hours from this device.

One disappointing fact about the Tribit XFree Go is that it still features the outdated micro USB port instead of the modern USB Type-C port for charging.

    2. Mic
    3. Best in noise canceling
    4. cheapest available but in reputed brands like logitech, JBL, bose, sony, etc

    Reply
      • Thanks for reply! Active noise cancelling (ANC) feature is not a must feature. Normal cancelling is OK for me. So if we skip ANC, can I get branded headphone in more reduced price?

      • Hi Anand!

Without knowing your budget, it’s really hard to suggest you a compatible product. If you are tight on budget, we would suggest you to check out the Tribit XFree Go (Link – https://amzn.to/3EPytJi), which is currently one of the best wireless headphones you can get your hand on for a budget under Rs.3,000. As for the “branded” tag, some of these lesser known headphone brands such as Tribit and Soundcore provide much better value for money propositions when compared with products from brands such as Sony and JBL.

      • Budget is not an issue. I just want to spend money based upon my requirements only and at the same time don’t want to compromise in quality. That’s why earlier I skipped ANC. I find Tribit Xfree Go comes in 2 versions. Old version in black color and new version in red color. New version doesn’t have CVC 8.0 Noise Cancelling Mic. Other features remain comparable. Price is same. So which one I should buy?

      • Hi Anand!

Both the models are the same, albeit with different colour scheme. You can go with either of them and get to enjoy similar features.

      • Yesterday, I ordered Tribit XFree Go (red Color, latest version) online from Amazon India.
Seller Name: TIGER PUG COMMERCE PRIVATE LIMITED

Kindly confirm to me if this seller is authorized seller of Tribit? Can I claim warranty (if needed) by showing this invoice?

      • Hi Anand!

Unfortunately we cannot comment on the warranty claim situation from third party sellers like the one you’ve mentioned. We always provide links of products listed directly by the company (https://amzn.to/3qEntLj) or from trustworthy authorised sellers with years of experience in the field.

    • Hi Rohan!

Both Tribit XFree Go (Link – https://amzn.to/3lyznC6) and the boAt Rockerz 550 (Link – https://amzn.to/3zi9V8M) are excellent choices as a budget wireless headphone. If your concern is comfort factor, both these headphones are one of the best in their respective budget segments. However, we personally feel spending an extra Rs.500 is well worth for choosing the XFree Go over the Rockerz 550 for its superior sound quality.

    • Hi Vineet!

Between the Fire Boltt 1400 (link – https://amzn.to/3r2rJAI) and boAt Rockerz 550 (link – https://amzn.to/3rdjly9) , we’d suggest you go with the boAt Rockerz 550. It has almost the same bass heavy sound signature as that of the expensive Fire Boltt 1400 with the advantage of excellent customer care support incase anything unfortunately happens with the product during the warranty period.
