1. Mi Band 4

Mi Band 4

Overall Best Pick

  • Gorgeous colour OLED display
  • Up to 20 days of battery life
  • Accurate sensor data

Elegant design

Robust build quality

Integrated media controls

No direct USB charging option

Years after its first launch, the Mi band series is perhaps the best selling smart fitness bands in India even today.

Affordability and the feature richness of these fitness trackers from Xiaomi are quite unparalleled in the budget segment, to be honest.

The Mi band 4 is the yesteryear flagship Mi band product available for purchase in the Indian market for a budget under Rs.2,200.

Design and Build Quality

The Mi Band 4 looks and feels just like its predecessor – the Mi Band 3.

There are some improvements and refinements in terms of fit and finish here and there and the overall build quality is exceptional for the price.

The TPU soft rubber strap is very comfortable to be worn around the wrists without any sort of skin irritation.

This band weighs just 22g, which will make it unnoticeable even if you wear it all the time in your hand.

The straps are interchangeable and come in different colour options for you to choose from.

The only gripe we have about the Mi band 4 design is its charging setup. You still need to connect the tracker module with the proprietary pogo pin cradle to juice up.

Xiaomi could have gone with an integrated USB port just like that of many fitness trackers in the segment.

This budget fitness tracker from Xiaomi is water-resistant up to 5atm, making it usable outdoors without having to be afraid of the elements.

The Mi band 4 features a 0.95” colour OLED display. This display can be said to be the best in class in terms of colour accuracy, readability and touch response.

There is an option to manually increase/decrease the brightness if you feel the OLED display is dim outdoors.

The swipe gestures vertically across the display feel very intuitive for everyday usage. The icons and font are designed to be legible and attractive.

The Mi band 4 comes with a slew of health and wellness tracking features including a heart rate monitor.

The heart rate sensor is very consistent for the price and gives you a rough estimate of your body metabolism rate.

The band will also alert you of unusual spikes in the heart rate if you have turned on the 24/7 monitoring mode.

The daily activity tracking includes step counter, sleep tracking and much more which can be easily analyzed with the help of the Mi fit app.

The Mi band 4 can display up to 10 incoming messages on the band, which is more helpful than just the alerts.

This fitness band comes with a music player control mode, where you can adjust the volume/skip tracks and much more directly from the band without ever touching the phone.

Battery Life

Xiaomi claims the Mi band 4 is rated to last up to 20 days on a single charge.

You can expect anywhere from 10-15 days of battery life even with heavy usage with this band.

The Mi band 4 is one of the best, if not the best fitness trackers available for purchase in the Indian market for a budget under Rs.1,899.

The long-lasting battery life, gorgeous OLED display and overall build quality make this band a clear winner in its price segment.

2. Realme Band

Realme Band

Runner-Up Pick

  • Decent sensor accuracy
  • Realtime app notifications
  • Up to 10 days of battery life

USB charging

Comfortable silicone strap

Average display brightness

Realme is a sub-brand of Oppo, which has been recently competing with Xiaomi’s Redmi series smartphones with amazing value for money devices.

This time though, Realme has decided to carve a chunk out of Xiaomi’s Mi band sales with the all-new Realme band.

Design and Build Quality

The Realme band, designwise, looks like any other fitness tracker in its price range. The plastic body with silicone straps is nothing much to write about.

The entire construction feels average but justifies the price tag of Rs.1,400.

However, one aspect where the Realme band stands out is wearing comfort. The silicone strap though thin is very sturdy and can be used for long hours without any irritation.

The buckle too is sturdy and makes the band fit snug with the wrist.

The Realme band comes with a dynamic heart rate sensor, which to say isn’t the best in the segment, but returns decent metabolism metrics.

This budget fitness band from Realme comes with the usual features such as a step counter, calorie calculator and sedentary reminder.

The realme band features a 0.96-inch TFT colour LCD. The brightness levels are pretty low, even for indoors to be honest.

However, the whole UI looks intuitive and easy to understand, even for beginners.

This isn’t a touchscreen but one with a single capacitive button control at the bottom of the display.

Overall, the interface is responsive and looks OK, to say the least.

The Realme band can be paired with your Android smartphone with the help of the Realme link app.

This app displays all your training data at a glance. There are also different watch faces which you can set on your band according to your choice.

The realme band displays real-time call and message notifications, not only from system apps but also third-party apps such as Facebook and WhatsApp.

Additionally, the Realme band comes with IP68 dust and water resistance certification for outdoor use.

Battery Life

The Realme band comes with the normal USB charging mechanism instead of the tedious pogo pin setup found in Xiaomi bands.

The battery inside this budget fitness tracker lasts up to 8 days of usage on a single charge.

The Realme band is a decent choice for those who are looking for a budget fitness band with a heart rate sensor under Rs.1,400.

3. Riversong Wave 02

Riversong Wave 02

Feature Rich Fitness Band

  • Dynamic heart rate monitor
  • Colour LCD
  • IP67 dust and water-resistant

Robust build quality

Inbuilt USB charger

Smart notification

Feels a bit bulky on thin wrists

Riversong is a Chinese company that is into consumer durables such as power banks, smartwatches and other smart home accessories.

The Wave 02 band from Riversong is a feature-rich fitness tracker that comes with an attractive price tag that even shames some of the high-end smart bands on sale in the market at present.

Design and Build Quality

The Riversong Wave O2 comes with a silicone wrist strap with a metallic watch-like stopper. The holes on the strap make it an easy fit for wrists of different sizes.

The strap feels strong and solid, so does the clip at the end. The main device, the band itself comes integrated with the USB port so that it is quite easy to charge it up.

This smart band from Riversong comes certified with IP67 dust and water resistance. You can wear this band around indoors as well as outdoors without having to fear the elements.

The display blends seamlessly with the band and overall this smart band feels like a premium product.

The Riversong Wave O2 features a 0.9-inch TFT colour LCD. This is one of the best displays we have seen on a budget fitness tracker in the market.

The relatively large display makes the navigation easier and the operations much simpler.

The single capacitive touch button is very responsive to the taps and touches and lets you navigate through the menu options quite easily.

The colours look decent and UI and the font are big enough not to cause too much strain for your eyes.

The Riversong Wave O2 comes loaded with all the sensors that you can imagine and then some.

The dynamic heart rate monitor inside provides an accurate measure of your heart activity level.

The accelerometer tracks your step and calculates the calories burnt during your workout.

There is also the blood-oxygen sensor onboard, which is of great use in these covid pandemic situations.

Smart Features

This device comes with all the necessary sports activity tracking features such as a calorie, step and sleep calculator.

Apart from these, the smartphone integration features such as call and message notifications, alarms, find my device makes this band a very useful companion.

This device connects with smartphones via Bluetooth 4.0 protocol and is compatible with both iOS as well as Android devices.

Battery Life

The Riversong Wave O2 comes with a 90mAh Li-ion battery which will last for about 5 days on a single charge.

Since there are a lot of sensors inside and the screen is an LCD colour panel, getting 5 days of battery life in our opinion is excellent.

Also, to charge the device, there is no need to plug the tracker device into a separate charging module.

There is an inbuilt USB port within the tracker so that you can directly plug it into your laptop or power bank to get it charged.

The Riversong Wave O2 is one of the best fitness tracker/smart bands you can buy under Rs.2,000 in the market right now.

Loaded with sensors, this device provides an accurate analysis of your health and fitness which can result in an improved lifestyle if you wish to stay healthy.

The Noise Color fit 2 features a 0.96-inch TFT LCD colourful display. This display is vertically oriented and has a touch-sensitive button underneath to navigate through the UI.

The screen is very bright and offers vibrant colours and pixelated animations that look delightful on such a small screen.

The Noise fit 2 fitness tracker from Go Noise has a decently accurate static heart rate sensor underneath the body.

Having a static heart rate monitor helps you to manually check the reading yourselves by activating the sensor from the menu. This saves a lot of battery unlike those premium fitness trackers featuring always-on heart rate sensing.

This sensor can also be used to find out the blood pressure and blood oxygen levels, but to be honest, these functions don’t substitute for a professional checkup.

There is the accelerometer sensor for step counts and calorie burn calculation. Features such as sedentary reminder also make this tracker a much more useful device.

The colourful TPU straps are readily available to purchase from the Go Noise website which you can use to give a fresh new feel to the device.

This device comes with IP68 certification and can be used in rain and dust without the fear of getting damaged.

The Noise fit 2 tracker comes with a remote shutter button option which connects to a remote device via Bluetooth.

  • Alarm clock functionality

Robust Build Quality

Android, iOS compatibility

Direct USB charging

Average screen brightness

Lenovo is aiming to be a major player in the fitness band industry deviating from its smartphone portfolio it seems.

The HX series smart fitness trackers offer one of the best value for money deals currently in the Indian fitness band market.

Design and Build Quality

Lenovo has done some serious thoughts before designing this smart fitness tracker for sure.

Although most of the trackers feature a boxy design, Lenovo has somehow managed to infuse charm to the otherwise bland design.

The silicone strap feels solid and durable and fits nicely on the wrist. The stud lock mechanism is strong and offers a tight fit for wrists of different sizes.

Certified with IP68 dust and water resistance, this fitness band can be used both indoors as well as outdoors without any problem.

The build quality is quite good for the price and overall, this fitness band looks really elegant and solidly built.

The Lenovo HX03 comes loaded with a 0.87-inch OLED display with a resolution of 128 x 32 pixels.

The display has a touch-sensitive button on the lower part which can be used to navigate through the different modes and menus effortlessly.

Since this is an OLED panel, the brightness levels are a bit on the lower side but the crispness and the contrast levels of an OLED panel are present.

The font sizes appear larger and are easily legible even from a distance.

The Lenovo HX03 features an optical sensor to monitor your heart rate. In addition to this, the HX03 can do sleep monitoring, step counting and calorie calculations as well.

The motion tracking works very well on this device and the distance calculation is spot on.

The Lithium-Polymer battery inside this device is rated to last for about 3 days worth of usage on a single charge.

Like most of the other new-generation fitness trackers, the Lenovo HX03 comes with a USB direct charging feature. This will let you charge the device anywhere from a suitable USB power outlet without the need for any cables or adapters.

The Lenovo HX03 is a stylish fitness tracker that is well built and features high-quality sensors inside for accurate tracking.

With IP68 certification, you can easily take this tracker everywhere with you even in the shower without having the fear of damaging the device.

The company claims the display to be scratch resistant as well.

MevoFit bold does come with a regular set of sensors including an active heart rate monitor.
